“Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road.”
Jack Kerouac, On the Road

Going through college so far, especially as someone on the pre-medical track, I have experienced a go-go lifestyle, where I feel guilty if I am not doing something every second of the day. This internship experience challenged me to stop and truly experience the present moment without worrying about what I have to do next. I think that being present and aware is the quintessential aspect of mindfulness, and participating in Mindfulness Events has allowed me to work on enjoying the present, and realizing that the best parts about life happen during the journey.

Challenges:

When you set out on your journey to Ithaca, pray that the road is long, full of adventure,

Skills:

Self-Confidence, Communication, Creativity & Decision Making, Taking Initiative

Future:

I will continue to implement Mindfulness techniques into my every day life. I will continue to take risks and remember that I will get to where I need to go, and know that my road to get there will looks different than someone elses.

“Adventure in itself is worthwhile”
